Abstract painting:Mahadev

Image
Here I tried to make an abstract painting of Lord Shiva using poster colors. Since Mahadev is considered as a destroter in Indian mythology, it is believed that one's deeds should never make him angry. His anger is furious and destructive, opposite is his happiness and calmness. This painting shows his calmness during meditation. Hope you like this:)

3-D work painting: Jharokha

Image
Jharokhas are designs of ancient doors and windows popularly seen in Indian monuments and have always been famous for their unique designs. They are particularly appreciated for sculptural artworks by Indian artisans.  In the above picture, I've tried to illustrate a Jharokha using various craft techniques. I've used shilpkar to make columns, flower, door mesh and some other structures like one on the top and the bottom. Some designs are drawn using acrylic colors and others using stones of different kinds. This painting has come out as a very beautiful depiction of Indian art, engineering skills and culture. Try it out and let me know your experience in the comments section below.

3-D work painting: Radha Krishna

Image
Indian beliefs had always been encouraging towards women. It's us who created a man-dominating society. If "Krishna is incomplete without Radha", then how can his picture be. I made this painting during my holidays in 10th standard. Acrylic colors are used to paint its background. To give it a 3-D look, multiple designs are made using stones(some of which I collected from used Rakhis), cloth, peacock feather and handmade sheets. This picture signifies love and gives us a beautiful message of gender equality as Radha and Krishna are One.
